SecurityCraft

Secure Your Base Like Agent 007

Turn your cozy Create Aeronautics base into a fortress. Laser grids, retinal scanners, hidden cameras, and traps — all the gadgets you need to keep intruders out.

What you will end up with

A fully secured base entrance with a key card door, a laser alarm that triggers a redstone trap, and a security camera feed so you can see who's knocking — all tied together with Create contraptions for that extra flair.

What you need

All SecurityCraft blocks require a redstone signal to unlock or activate. Think of them as switches — you control who gets to flip them.

1. The Key Card Door — your VIP entrance

Start with the classic: a Key Panel and a Key Card. This is your front-door security — only players carrying the right card get in.

  1. Craft a Key Panel (iron + redstone) and place it next to the door you want to protect.
  2. Craft a Key Card (paper + iron nugget). Right-click the Key Panel with the card to link it — the panel now only accepts that specific card.
  3. Run redstone dust from the back of the Key Panel to an iron door or a reinforced door. When a player inserts the correct card, the door opens.
  4. Craft more copies of the same card for your friends — or make a separate card for each room. The choice is yours.
A Key Panel without a card is useless! Always link at least one card before securing the room, or you'll lock yourself out.

2. Laser alarm — tripwire, but make it spy movie

The Laser Alarm shoots a visible red beam across any open space. When a player or mob walks through it, the alarm sends a redstone pulse.

  1. Place a Laser Alarm on one wall and a Laser Block directly opposite — the beam appears between them.
  2. Run redstone from the alarm to a note block, a dispenser with arrows, or even a Create mechanical piston that slams a reinforced door shut.
  3. Flip the alarm ON (right-click it) — the red beam is now live.
  4. Pro tip: Camouflage the Laser Block behind a painting or a bookshelf. Very sneaky.
Laser Alarm + Laser Block + Redstone = tripwire alarm Add a dispenser with fireworks for the full theatrical experience.

3. Security cameras — big brother is watching

Place a Security Camera on your ceiling and right-click it to open the live feed. The camera shows a first-person view of whatever it's pointed at — perfect for checking who's loitering at your base entrance while you're busy tinkering with Create machines.

4. Reinforced blocks — the unbreakable vault

Normal stone and iron blocks can be broken by determined griefers or even a stray Create mechanical drill. Reinforced blocks are SecurityCraft's answer — they take significantly longer to break and require much better tools.

5. Traps & mines — the "go away" package

For the truly paranoid: Mines and Portable Radios. Lay a mine under a pressure plate or link it to your laser alarm. When triggered, the mine explodes — a powerful deterrent for anyone who somehow got past the key card.

Mines damage all entities, including you and your pets! Place them carefully, and always mark the area for your teammates. Nobody likes a "friendly fire" incident.

6. Create Aeronautics integration — next-level security

This is where it gets fun. Combine SecurityCraft with Create to build automated defenses:

Redstone from SecurityCraft blocks can directly power Create components. No complicated setup — just place a redstone contact on your Contraption and let SecurityCraft control it.
